Sales Relationship Manager

Build long-term relationships with our highest-value customers — maintaining consistent communication, spotting sales opportunities, and maximizing customer lifetime value through trust and genuine engagement.

The Role

Ideal candidate overview

We need somebody who is naturally relationship-driven, emotionally intelligent, patient, and commercially minded. This person should be comfortable building long-term relationships with high-value customers, maintaining consistent communication, identifying sales opportunities, and maximizing customer lifetime value through trust and engagement.

Personal traits matter enormously in this role. The ideal candidate is:

  • An excellent communicator with strong emotional intelligence
  • Naturally persuasive, without being overly aggressive
  • Patient, attentive, and relationship-focused
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Reliable, proactive, and consistent
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable
  • Professional, personable, and customer-focused
How You Think

A retention and sales mindset

Strong customer-retention and sales thinking are essential. We need someone who naturally asks:

  • Which high-value customers need attention today?
  • How can I strengthen this relationship?
  • Why has this customer's spending changed?
  • What opportunities exist to increase lifetime value?
  • How do I keep customer information and follow-ups organised?
What Matters Most

Two main qualities we're looking for

1

Relationship building & customer retention

Someone who genuinely enjoys building long-term relationships and understands that retention is just as important as acquiring new customers. This includes:

  • Building trust with high-value customers
  • Maintaining regular and meaningful communication
  • Keeping customer information and the CRM updated
  • Following up consistently, without being prompted
  • Understanding customer preferences and buying behaviour
  • Identifying opportunities to increase customer lifetime value
  • Coordinating custom requests with internal teams
The goal: retain existing high-value customers, strengthen loyalty, and grow the share of revenue that comes from long-term relationships.
2

Sales awareness & operational follow-through

Someone who notices changes in customer behaviour early and takes action without waiting for instructions. This includes:

  • Monitoring spending patterns and engagement
  • Tracking important customer metrics and CRM updates
  • Identifying inactive or at-risk high-value customers
  • Supporting custom order coordination
  • Maintaining organized reporting and communication
  • Working closely with the team to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue
If leadership spots an issue first, this person still takes ownership of the follow-up, coordinates the necessary actions, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Experience

Backgrounds that tend to fit

  • High-value sales
  • Account management
  • VIP or premium client management
  • CRM management
  • Retention or loyalty marketing
